1. Are any initiatives taken in cooperation with the civil society (for e.g. professional groups non-governmental organizations) and any mechanisms developed to evaluate progress achieved?

2. Provide information on the measures undertaken:
  • Diminish infant and child mortality, indicate average rate, desegregated data-gender, age, region, rural/urban, ethnic and social origin.
  • Ensure the provision of necessary medical assistance and health care to all children and include:
    • distribution of both general and primary health services in the rural and urban areas; balance between preventive and curative health care
    • Information on the children having access to and benefiting from medical assistance and health care as well as persisting gaps-gender, age, ethnic, social origin and measures adopted to reduce disparity.
    • Measures undertaken for universal immunization system.
  • Combat diseases and malnutrition, ; application of readily available technology, provision of adequate nutritious foods and clean drinking water, taking into account risks and dangers of environmental degradation and pollution
    • indicate overall situation, disparities, difficulties, policies to address them, priorities identified for future action, information should be provided including gender, age, region, rural/urban area, social and ethnic origin:
    • proportion of children with low birth rate
    • nature and context of the most common diseases and their impact
    • proportion of child population affected by malnutrition - chronic or severe, lack of clean drinking water
    • adequate nutritious food
    • risks from environmental pollution and measures adopted to prevent and combat them
  • ensure appropriate prenatal and post-natal health care for mothers indicating the nature of services provided, information given, coverage ensured, rate of mortality and its causes-by age, gender region, urban/rural area, social, ethnic origin
    • proportion of pregnant women who have access to and benefit from pre- and post-natal health care, trained personnel and hospital care and delivery.
  • ensure that all segments of society, particular parents and children are informed have access to education and are supported in the use of basic knowledge of child health and nutrition, advantages of breast feeding, hygiene and environmental sanitation, prevention of accidents. Provide information on:
    • Campaigns, programmes, services, strategies, relevant mechanism developed to provide basic knowledge, information and support to the general population, in particular to parents and children.
    • Means used in relation to areas of child health and nutrition, advantages of breast feeding, prevention of accidents
    • Availability of safe sanitation
    • Measures adopted to increase food production to ensure household food security
    • Measures adopted to improve system of education and training of health personnel
    • Disaggregated data-age, gender, region, region, rural/urban area, social, ethnic origin.
  • Develop preventive health care, guidance for parents and family planning education and services. Also provide information on:
    • policies and programmes developed, services available
    • population covered-rural/urban, age, gender, social, ethnic origin
    • measures adopted o prevent early pregnancy taking into account specific situations of adolescents, provisions of appropriate information and counseling
    • role played by the education system in this regard, including school curricula
    • Disaggregated data on the incidence of children pregnancy-age, gender, region, and rural/urban area, social and ethnic origin.

3. Please provide information on forced eviction and displacement of tribal families from their homes and communities.
