Through SHGs
In 4 ICDS Projects Community Managed Supplementary Nutrition
Programme is being implemented. The food items are procured and food
is prepared and supplied by the Mother committees / SHGs.
·
Local Procurement
The main items i.e., rice is procured from Government
Department of Civil Supplies and the remaining items viz., Broken
Wheat, Oil, Dhal and condiments are purchased from local market by
calling tenders through District Level Purchase Committee headed by
the Joint Collector, & Additional District Magistrate. The supplies
are being made through Government agencies i.e.,
A.P. Markfed, HACA, Superbazars, Girijana Cooperative Corporation as
far as possible.
Hence, no contractors are engaged for supply of Supplementary
Nutrition Food items.
