Allocation of foodgrains
(wheat & rice ) under Wheat Based Nutrition Programme(WBNP)
Wheat and rice is not used
under the supplementary Nutrition Programme to children under ICDS and
hence WBNP is not in force in this State. However, the required
supplementary nutrition is met by procuring the food grains such as moog,
grams, soya groundnuts etc. by this Department through open market i.e.
from State Level Cooperative Marketing Federations duly approved by Govt.
of Goa.
