Govt. of West Bengal revised the nutrition norms at the enhanced rates w.e.f. 01.03.2009 in the following manner :

 

i)     Severely malnourished children – Rs. 6/- per day per child

ii)    Other children                             – Rs. 4/- per day per child

iii)   Pregnant & Lactating Mothers    – Rs. 5/- per day per beneficiary

i) Rs. 13/- per day per AWC having the no. of beneficiaries upto – 50

iii) Rs. 18/- per day per AWC having the no. of beneficiaries upto – 81 and

     above.

 

An amount of Rs. 35 crores on and average is spent per annum. The entire cost is borne out of the State Exchequer.

 

b) Any other (specify) – an amount of Rs. 8 crores on and average is spent per annum for the cost of transportation and storage. This amount is also borne out of the State Exchequer.
