PHYSICAL PROGRESS UNDER SWAYAMSIDHA TILL 31ST  MARCH, 2006:

 

  • Target:                 Formation of 65,000 SHGs @ 100 SHGs per Block.

Achievement:      The following are the major achievements:

 

·        68,163 SHGs have been formed against the target of 65,000 SHGs

·        9.94 lakh women are covered under the scheme

·        8216 clusters of SHGs have been formed

·        590 block level federations of SHGs have been formed

·        Rs. 86.63 crores have been saved by SHGs under the scheme

·        61,060 SHGs  (89%) have Bank Accounts

·        Rs. 14.40 crores have been deposited by the SHGs in Banks

·        24781 SHGs  (36%) have availed Bank loan

·        Rs. 86.53 crores loan has been taken from Banks by SHGs

·        37,112 SHGs  (54%) involving over 4.04 lakhs women are engaged in Income Generation Activities (IGA)

·        30, 617 SHGs  (45%) are benefiting from convergence with other Government schemes

·        2540 Community Assets have been created 

  • Various training programmes initiated in all States.
  • Basic training programmes completed in most States.
  • Creation of community assets is in progress in most of the States.
  • 13 Quarterly Review Meetings of State Nodal Officers held.

FINANCIAL PROGRESS TILL 30.09.2006:

 

From the beginning of the project till date (30.9.2006) the total grant released to the States are Rs. 72.20 Crores.
